HORROR ON OUR ROADS

there is no doubt that the Christmas period is the “cocoa season” for vehicle owners and drivers, but most of them fail to win.

On my way to Kumasi on December 20, 2010, I was taken aback by the number of vehicles, which had been involved in accidents.

At about 6:30 am, two cars had collided just after de Georgia Motors at Apenkwa and from there to Amanfrom in the Eastern Region, I counted four more vehicular accidents.

At Kwahu Nsaba, again in the Eastern Region, a coach had run into a house situated just by the roadside and at
Nkawkaw, a long vehicle carrying electrical cables had somersaulted.

What has become of our world? It is really hard to believe that all these accidents occurred in a day.

I think it all boils down to reckless driving and poor judgment on the part of drivers so we must intensify education that regard to help minimize the loss of precious lives on our roads.
